Lyngblomsten is looking for a passionate Director of Life Enrichment to join our team at our Lino Lakes Campus!
Job Summary
The successful performance of the Director of Life Enrichment includes overseeing all aspects of Therapeutic Recreation at Lino Lakes. This includes working closely with the LALD, hiring, training, evaluating performance of staff, and adhering to all state regulations.
The posted pay range of this hourly position is $20 to $31. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Responsibilities and Duties
Interpersonal Relationships
1. *Able to work constructively with all staff to plan, implement and maintain a well-run home health agency.
2. *Able to relate positively, effectively, and respectfully to clients, families, and other facility staff.
3. *Functions as a team member with other staff in the performance of duties.
4. Seeks and accepts feedback regarding the performance of job duties.
5. *Respects the confidentiality of client and staff information.
6. *Adheres to grooming/hygiene standards of Lyngblomsten.
7. Reports for work on time.
8. *Must be aware of and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Life Enrichment Tasks
1. *Provide leadership and coordinate the total Therapeutic Recreation Program.
2. *Facilitate planning and maintaining a creative and effective program based on current resident needs. Activities must cover six-seven (MC) days a week, some evenings and weekends.
3. *Ensure that necessary records are kept.
4. Ensure that the department is adequately supplied.
5. Oversee care of activity areas, supplies, and equipment.
6. *Fulfill all additional functions assigned to the Director of Therapeutic Recreation.
7. *Keep contact with the Residents
8. Coordinator with Life Long Learning and the Arts Director for programming.
9. Coordinator and/or facilitate resident and family councils.
Operational Tasks
1. *Attends in-service, and completes online education assignments and training sessions as scheduled
2. *Displays awareness of current regulations as presented by the supervisor.
3. *Adheres to Lyngblomsten policies on safety, infection control, and resident rights.
4. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Physical Demands
1. The employee must be able to walk 6 to 7 hours in an 8-hour work day.
2. The employee's job requires frequent (34%-66% of the 8-hour work day):

3. The employee's job requires occasional (1%-33% of the 8-hour day):

Qualifications and Skills
Must have the desire to work with older adults
Volunteer management experience and the ability to plan and organize volunteer programs & services preferred.
At least 2 years of recent experience in a licensed assisted living facility with 2-4 years in a resident activity program preferred.
Must be willing to drive a small bus for resident outings
Leadership ability and willingness to cooperate with department heads and other personnel are necessary
Ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff and volunteers
Connections and/or affiliations with civic, social & professional organizations desired
Strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary
